The location was stunning as close to the beach as suggested and the staff here was pretty friendly and amiable. Further, it was very close to taxis from the local village at Port en Bessin and the D-Day beaches.

We had a perfect stay in this tranquil hotel located near Omaha beach. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, offering a peaceful night's sleep. The hotel also boasts a wonderful restaurant with a view down to the beach, where we enjoyed delicious meals. The staff were friendly and accommodating, ensuring we had everything we needed. Additionally, the hotel's location was ideal, as it was close to everything, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. a great choice for a business traveler looking for comfort and convenience.
The hotel had some tired areas, such as the restaurant.

Staff was overly accommodating: perfect English, changed/upgraded our room to a balcony upon request. Really lovely hotel setting on a gorgeous golf course. Even if golf is not your game, do get out and walk it. The views are spectacular.
No lifts to the rooms on one side. This was not a problem, but could be an annoyance for guests with excess luggage. Also, hotel restaurant was really lovely, but not really appropriate for our rambunctious four year old. We were advised he would not be a problem, but the quiet, upscale atmosphere with linens and no crayons was not the best choice for our younger child. We would have loved to indulge as just adults. Best to take kids elsewhere in town, 15 minutes away.

I recently stayed at Mercure in Port-en-Bessin for a few nights while visiting the Normandy beaches. The hotel's location was perfect for exploring the area. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfasts were delicious. I also enjoyed the complimentary upgrade to a Privilege Room, which had a beautiful view of the golf course. The room itself was spacious, clean, and comfortable. a great experience.
Can't recommend this hotel highly enough.

Location - Close to d Day landing beaches. Size of rooms.
Very poor hygiene practises. Our first room had a peculiar odour - perhaps covering up cigarette smell and the toilet was not clean. When this was reported to management, they were sceptical and tried to make the excuse that the hotel was old. This was not the problem - obviously the cleaners were not too familiar with the use of a toilet brush. The toilet was cleaned for us, but we moved rooms due to the smell. The others we were travelling also had problems with a dirty toilet (faecal matter on back of toilet seat). Someone was again sent to clean it, but despite spending 10 minutes cleaning they missed the actual problem! AIr conditioner did not work. We cancelled our second night here, but staff did not seem concerned.
